No one ever answered the last Tuesday Night Trivia challenge. So you know, the final entry in an alphabetical listing of Pope names is Zosimus. This week's challenge is a little easier:This word, which appears in the names of four states, only appears in the names of two sovereign nations. What is it, and what are the two sovereign nations?

"New" was my guess...
New Zealand and New Caledonia
(states: New York, New Jersey, New Hampshire, New Mexico)
But, I checked Wikipedia and apparently New Caledonia is not a sovereign state. It is still part of France.
"New" is the correct word. There is another country with "new" in its name.
Duh. Papua New Guinea.
Correct.
