Apple Surpasses Wal-Mart as Top Music Retailer

Apple is now responsible for 19 percent of music sales in the U.S., surpassing Wal Mart's 15 percent and putting Apple in the top spot for the first time. This is good for a few reasons: 1) Being able to say "Apple is our top music retailer" instead of "Wal Mart is our top music retailer" makes me somehow feel better about America. 2) Apple's success in music sales vindicates idiots like me who prefer to buy music one song at a time. 3) Two of my former bands' albums are available at iTunes, but not through Wal Mart.
