Autistic Teen Scores 20 in Three Minutes of Varsity Game
Until recently Jason McElwain, who is autistic, was the manager of the varsity basketball team at Rocester New York's Greece Athena High School. As a gesture of goodwill, coach Jim Johnson gave Jason a spot on the roster for the team's final game of the season. With the game in hand and four minutes remaining, coach Johnson sent in Jason. The autistic senior missed his first shot by about six feet. His second shot, a lay-up, was also a miss.
But his third shot, a three pointer, went in. So did his fourth, fifth, and sixth shots—all three pointers. In a span of about three minutes, Jason hit six three pointers and one two-point field goal (his foot was on the line) for a total of twenty points.

I saw this on CBS News - twice. An absolutely amazing and inspiring story - even better in video than in print. (The video is available on the CBS news web site but I cant' figure out how to link to it).
It's great that life can still surprise me - in a good way.
