• Scientists are developing "synthetic trees" that collect 1,000 more carbon that real trees. These aren't the sort of synthetic trees that one adorns with strands of lights and colored bulbs.


• This Buffy/Twilight mash-up is pretty fantastic.


• Putting his entire presidency on tape was probably a bad move on Richard Nixon's part (New York Times). Turns out he said that abortion was necessary in the case of interracial pregnancies.
